The Diamond Guy® Breaks Down the Last Argyle Diamond Tender - 2021
Up until this point, there have been 1,883 Pink diamonds, 42 Red, and 65 Blue, Grey, & Violets from the Argyle Tender. With the last 70 stones in the 2021 tender, that will make 2,060 little masterpieces. To put it in perspective, there are over 50,000 artworks that Picasso created in his lifetime. Claude Monet painted approximately 2,000. In the diamond world, for 38 years that’s only an average of 54 works of art created by Mother Earth that we have been given each year.
“2,060 Little Masterpieces...”
Quite honestly, considering the extreme temperature and pressures that pink and red diamonds have to go through, they shouldn’t even exist. They should have collapsed under all of that strain, but somehow even with the weight of the world on their shoulders, they found a way to survive and thrive. Pink and red diamonds have grit! They find the available light in any room they are put in and give it back better to us then how they found it.
Violet diamonds are created when 10 to 15 parts per million of hydrogen get caught in their lattice structure so they can be the wonders that they are. The first violets weren’t even found until 21 years ago!
Why is the last Argyle tender so important?
Because their beauty never grows old. Their batteries never die.
A thousand years from now, whoever is holding one of these miracles will be holding the ultimate shinning star that our universe could create. Rare? Beyond Rare. It’s hard not to hold an Argyle Diamond and feel anything but love.
